“Tanya is a fabulous speaker. Her topic resonated with the audience and really made a great impression on those who attended. Tanya would be a true asset for any organization requiring a professional speaker.”
— Anonymous client
The most effective thing Tanya did was remain relatable. She told personal stories that connected the audience to the complexity of the subject matter and that kept everyone engaged. She was also able to communicate her message without any blame. Instead, Tanya used facts and spoke from a perspective of hope that I believe resonated well.
-Keynote client
Tanya is a dynamic, authentic, and inspirational speaker. Our Women in Leadership ERG hosted a finance symposium focused on women and financial fitness. From our first conversation, I knew Tanya would be an incredible panelist for the event, bringing a unique, intersectional, and external perspective that was critical to our discussion. Tanya captured the
hearts and minds of our participants and left a tremendous impression. It was a pleasure working with her from start to finish. I would recommend Tanya to anyone looking for a professional, engaging, and enlightening speaker at their next event.

PORTFOLIO
Authenticity above all else.
Tanya is a writer/speaker using her fresh and authentic voice on matters close to home: parenthood, entrepreneurship, and Black culture.
Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, Tanya, a graduate of the University of Ottawa, uses her very expensive degree in social science, to learn and study how humans act and react. While her roots are in Canada, she spends a lot of time in the US - working, playing, and vacationing in her home away from home.
Spending a lifetime (shh..20 years) in event planning, gave Tanya an eye for what gets the people going. What will make them gasp with delight? What will make them pull their phones out and look for a brand to tag? What will have non-attendees growl with FOMO? Those are the moments that never get old. But putting pen to paper was never far from the surface. She’s played around with various mediums and channels, always shape-shifting her writing style to suit the platform (and attention spans).
Always a planner, her not-so-secret obsessions are planners and notebooks, even being an ambassador for her fave planner brand (of course). Give a writer a notebook and pen, and you’ll have them forever. Perhaps it’s the middle child syndrome, but being a good example for those looking up to her is why she recently took the plunge to learn how to swim. Not afraid to look imperfect and show vulnerabilities has gotten her to where she is today.
When she’s not creating, (but then again, when is she not?), she’s in her digital playground Twitter, blogging on Medium or exploring nail trends Instagram. Try as she might, she just can’t quit the socials. Offline time is just as important, taking her 10-year-old travel, Starbucks, and basketball-obsessed son to see the world. Catch her in an airport if you can.
